Going Deeper

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

I know I’m not the only one who is restless and excited about something in the spirit realm that is happening in these last days. There is a sense of great expectation and anticipation about what is coming soon in and for the Body of Christ.

With all the trials and turmoil in the world today, I hear the Lord saying, “Come closer and be still.” He wants to prepare our hearts for what is to come. He wants to anoint our hearts with the desire to go deeper and to want more and more and more of Him! He wants to give us greater insight into the mysteries of the Kingdom and our mission as Kingdom ambassadors and His representatives in the earth.

There are things He has prepared for us that not all will be able to receive. Look at this passage of Scripture in Matthew 13.

10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”

11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not.

12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.

13 That is why I use these parables,

For they look, but they don’t really see.

They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand. Matthew 13:10-13 NLT

They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.

Parabolic teaching is a style of teaching where you hide truth from the listeners so that they can discover it when they are ready. Its a style of teaching where you use small stories that people can relate to (you always use symbols or items that people consider to be common and you use them to tell a story.) And the purpose for a parable is not to tell the truth but to hide the truth. And you hide it because you are working with a principle that is based on a premise:

Nothing is yours until you understand it.

A wise man once said:

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.

Proverbs 4:7

There are many who have no desire to hear or understand the deep things of God. These are the ones who hear but don’t really listen or understand. Everyone won’t want to go deeper, but we cannot and will not hold back those who do want to! It’s time out for milk for those who want to grow, for those who want meat! Are you ready for more? Is your foundation secure?

Our foundation is the Lord, Jesus Christ, Who is the Word of God. Holy Spirit enables us to know Him and to have an intimate relationship with Him. He came to earth to live in us for the specific purpose of revealing Jesus Christ to us and transforming us into His image and likeness. This is the process of sanctification, but the level of your sanctification depends on the depth of your consecration.

God Wants Your Whole Heart

How bad do you want the deep things of God? Consecration is the amount of our unconditional surrender to God in response to His unconditional love for us.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Discovering the Wisdom of God

“It is impossible for a finite man to fully comprehend and measure the totality of God’s infinite wisdom. The only way to begin the journey is through the realm of the Spirit. God opens up His wisdom to us in the realm of the Spirit as we plunge deep into Him. He is not hiding anything from us, but He has preserved these things for us to discover! Discovery is the portion of sons, one of the employments of prayer. Mysteries are unlocked through ex-

tended times of prayer and meditation in the Spirit.”

Ryan Lestrange, “A Higher Dimension”

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2

God has so much more for us, but we have to have faith to receive from Him. Not just your ordinary, everyday faith, but a bold, radical faith that will  say to God, like Peter did when Jesus told him to launch out into the deep: “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” Luke 5:4-5

Here is a quote from Ryan Lestrange from his book, “Supernatural Access:”

“Many of the great turning points in our lives begin with what appears to be a crazy instruction. This is why we must come into proper understanding of who we are and how we were created. Every fiber of our being is designed for the supernatural! We were never intended to live our lives within the shackles of limitation. We were created for the launch into the unknown. We were created for radical kingdom exploits and breakthrough living.”

Our Lord Jesus is still issuing that call to each one of us who are willing to trust in His Word. If we truly want to go deeper and if we have that holy discontent that will not allow us to settle for just enough, we have to be bold and radical enough to launch out into the deep!

Prayer

Father, You created us with an innate desire to want You and to have a personal relationship with You. It is our honor and privilege to be Yours and to have You in our lives. Thank You for saving us and bringing us out of darkness into Your Kingdom of Light!!! But we cannot stop at just being saved, we want MORE!!! Make us continually hungry and thirsty for the MORE that only You can give. Strengthen us in our inner man and give us grace to boldly launch out into the deep knowing that You will grant us wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the Truth. And You will be glorified because as we continue to learn of You and know You, we will indeed be strong and do exploits in the mighty Name of our Lord and King, Jesus the Christ!!! Amen.
